Noise Contour Examples from SoundPLAN training

The 2 day SoundPLANnoise software training is intended for those engineers and technicians who are responsible for developing indoor and outdoor acoustical models used for noise planning, noise impact assessments, noise mitigation, etc. SoundPLAN is used extensively throughout the training, however, the training will be of interest to anyone working in the field of acoustics, occupational and environmental noise.  Attendees will develop models and predict the noise impact from industrial plants, local roads, railway, race tracks, construction sites  and  performing arts facilities. A special emphasis will be placed upon barrier & noise mitigation optimization, data and project management, documentation, model verification and input & results presentation (2D, 3D Contour, Cross Section Maps, Difference & Compliance Maps).

As part of the training we will load a fully functional copy of the noise modeling software SoundPLANnoise on your computer with a 30 day license.  The software will be used for the exercises.

Course fee includes manual and laboratory material. All registrations and cancellations must be received 2 weeks prior to the start of class. Substitute attendees may be made at any time. The attendees are asked to bring their laptop.  If the attendee can not bring a laptop Navcon can provide a laptop for the training.  Please brind a memory stick to back up all project and software when the training is completed.

The training fee includes lunch and refreshment (i.e., coffee, tea, soda, water).  Vegetarian lunch option is avaiable on request.
