SIDLAB Suite is a combination of software and hardware solutions for the analysis and measurement of sound generation and propagation inside duct networks. This can be applied to Intake and Exhaust systems, Power generation, Oil & Gas pipe networks and HVAC systems. |
SoundPLAN is an acoustic ray tracing program for noise propagation prediction written by the German acoustical consulting firm, SoundPLAN GmbH. |
This module models the generation and propagation of low frequency sound in complex duct networks. The frequency range is limited to the plane wave region in the connecting pipes. It is based on linear acoustic theory and all elements, e.g., a complex muffler, are reduced to two-ports while terminations and sources are represented as one-ports. |
During this FE Model Validation and Updating seminar, the participants will not only learn the basic principles of test-analysis correlation and finite element model updating, but also get hands-on experience using specialized software (FEMtools). |
IRIS is a room acoustics measurement system developed by Marshall Day Acoustics in New Zealand. It was released at the beginning of 2014 as a fully integrated hardware and software system for making 3D impulse response measurements. |

SIDLAB Flow is a very quick 1D tool to calculate the pressure drop introduced by the designed muffler system. It calculates the flow distribution and pressure drop inside the network using a two-port formulation, and feeds the results into the acoustic calculation in SIDLAB Acoustics. |
The 2 day SoundPLANnoise software training is intended for those engineers and technicians who are responsible for developing indoor and outdoor acoustical models used for noise planning, noise impact assessments, noise mitigation, etc. SoundPLAN is used extensively throughout the training, however, the training will be of interest to anyone wor |
