FEMtools is a multi-functional, cross-platform and solver-independent family of CAE software programs providing analysis and scripting solutions for many different types of applications.

Standard Product Configurations

FEMtools consists of various tools that are licensed as the following standard configurations:

FEMtools 4 Dynamics	Advanced finite element solutions for simulating dynamic response and structural modifications.
FEMtools 4 Pretest and Correlation	A complete solution for modal pretest analysis, FE model verification and validation using test-analysis correlation.
FEMtools 4 Model Updating	An integrated solution for structural dynamics simulation, model verification, validation and updating.
FEMtools 4 Optimization	An integrated solution for structural design optimization.
FEMtools 4 Model Updating and Optimization	An integrated solution for FE model verification, validation, updating and optimization, The full product combines FEMtools Model Updating and FEMtools

Optional FE Data Interface and Driver Add-on Modules

Any FEMtools configuration can be complemented with the following add-ons for integration with standard commercial FEA programs

ABAQUS Interface and Driver	Imports and exports Abaqus INP files, imports FIL files.
ANSYS Interface and Driver	Imports and exports CDB file, imports RST and EMAT files.
LS-DYNA Interface and Driver	Imports and exports k-file, and imports d3eigv file and matrix output files.
NASTRAN Interface and Driver	Imports and exports bulk data file, imports OP2 files, punch files and OUTPUT4 files.
SAP2000 Interface and Driver	Imports s2k files or uses the SAP API to interface with SAP2000 models for model updating.
UNIVERSAL FILE (I-DEAS) Interface and Driver	Imports and exports I-DEAS Universal Files.

Additional interfaces are available but without the support provided by these main interfaces.

Optional Analysis Add-on Modules

Any FEMtools configuration can be complemented with the following add-on modules:

Analysis Add-On Module	Description
FEMtools Data Acquistion (DAQ)	Vibration data acquisition and frequency response computation using National Instruments frontends. Supports hammer impact, shaker and operational acquisition methods.
FEMtools Modal Parameter Extractor (MPE)	Extracts the modal parameters from a set of measured FRFs or cross power spectra. This add-on also includes a command library for Digital Signal Processing.
FEMtools Rigid Body Properties Extractor (RBPE)	Extracts the rigid body properties of a structure from a set of measured FRFs.
